To most people, vacation is synonomous with relaxation. Taking time off usually means time to unwind. Well, not for this girl =) Yes, it's true; I did take a few days off of work, but I've been busting my behind to keep our momentum going. For the last few months, we have been doing much work! From research and interviews, meetings and auditions, new team members, design work, recording of new songs.... there has been a lot going on. And there is a lot to be excited about. And this blog is going to help me share all the news with you!
Over this past week, I spent a few days in the studio wrapping up my newest radio ready single The Golden Ticket. THE GOLDEN TICKET is a song based on the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. If you like the original version of the movie with Gene Wilder, you will love this song. It's finished and I plan on releasing it as a single as soon as possible. More details to come.
I've held auditions for the band and here is the update on that. I am pleased to announce that I have a full band and by late Oct/early Nov we will be performing. Kelly McGovern (drums) and Chris Thomas (bass) will be joining Darryl Spencer (lead guitar) and I.
There are many social networking tweaks that we are still working on, but keep checking in and see the awesome progress we are making.
I'll be using this blog to check in, post updates, show you new videos, and just let you know about all things Leah Jee.
So, all said and done, I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation =)
